3663 First for Foodservice pays South Africa a visit

3663 First for Foodservice has visited South Africa with One Water to see first hand how the money it has raised for the charity organisation has helped local communities in the country.

In November 2007, 3663 generated enough profit from its sales of One Water to install the first 3663 PlayPump at Tholo Primary School in the North West Province of South Africa. Since then, an additional 14 pumps have been installed helping nearly 40,000 people obtain access to clean, safe drinking water.

Alex Fisher, managing director of 3663 First for Foodservice, said: "We are extremely proud of the work that we have done to support One Water. To see the children playing on the Play Pump and drawing water for their communities, not just for drinking but also irrigation, is quite awe inspiring.

"With our parent company Bidvest being based in South Africa, the partnership with One Water not only makes commercial sense to us but also responds to our core values of integrity and entrepreneurship."
