7 Day Catering grows marketing team

Contract catering specialists 7 Day Catering have strengthened their marketing department, with the appointment of a marketing co-ordinator at the company’s head office in Tamworth.

Sarah Clives, 26 from Tamworth has been with the company since 2003 when she joined as an office junior. Within a matter of months, she was promoted to sales and operations administrator and now takes the role of marketing co-ordinator.

Sarah reports to sales director Mark Johnson, and her responsibilities cover the full marketing mix, including marcomms, public relations, website management, advertising and business development.

Other responsibilities include liaising with the operations team to keep them informed of new initiatives, healthy options programmes, and assisting with the general marketing of the company.

Currently studying for her Chartered Institute of Marketing certificate at Solihull College, Sarah has a strong creative flair that is reflected in every aspect of her work.

Commenting on her new role, she said: "This is a big change for me, and a challenge I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into. Every day brings something new, this is a fast paced and multi faceted environment, one day I can be working on a new business proposal, the next a public relations campaign to promote our Home Bake Challenge.

"It's all about applying my skills to fit in with the overall marketing and brand development strategies to promote and develop our services nationally. Across the business, we have over 150 clients serving thousands of people every day, and I believe we have a significant opportunity to leverage added value from customers. I am really pleased to have been given the opportunity to learn more about marketing and to progress my career at 7 Day Catering."

Having worked previously for a retail organisation, Sarah has valuable customer-facing experience, and will be providing input into the development of the company's marketing and public relations strategies.

Mark Johnson, sales director commented: "It is a pleasure to be able to welcome Sarah to the marketing department. It's great to see young enthusiastic people coming up through the ranks. I am sure she will prove to be a great asset to the team and I look forward to working with her."
