ARAMARK announces its sponsorship of BFF

30th September 2009, 11:32am

ARAMARK, the contract catering and facilities company, has announced that it is the major sponsorship of British Food Fortnight (BFF) until 2014.

To coincide with BFFF, over 400 ARAMARK sites will be fully committed to a varied programme of activities including interactive farm tours, cookery demonstrations, classic themed restaurant menus in the workplace and the launch of the 'Great British Value Bundles' on meal deals.

Victoria Clarke, marketing communications manager at ARAMARK, gives a further insight into the company's involvement with BFF: "ARAMARK will not only be involving its sites but will be working closely with its suppliers to deliver an exciting programme of activity.

"We will also have chefs touring the country mentoring school children from over 50 schools and explaining the importance of using sustainable foods and supporting British producers to help educate pupils on the importance of provenance.

"This year we are working with a number of schools across the UK, and we have packed our line up with interactive activities such as tours around local working organic farms, where the children will be able to get up close and personal with the animals as well as learn all about the production of dairy and wheat."

In addition, ARAMARK will be planning cookery classes, promotions including BFF themed menus and special deals on drink and snack combinations.

BFF runs from 19 September to 4 October.
