Accent Catering awarded top accreditation by Soil Association

22nd March 2010, 11:02am

Accent Catering has been accredited by the Soil Association with the Food for Life Catering Mark, in recognition of its commitment to using ingredients that are fresh, seasonal, local and organic including high welfare meat and sustainable fish.

This accreditation has been designed to help caterers reassure their customers that the food supplied is fresh, honest and additive free.

Accent is just one of 26 organisations in the UK who have achieved the high standards required for this accolade and the accreditation covers the school meals that the company provides for 17 primary schools.

It means that parents can be assured that their children's meals contain no undesirable food additives, hydrogenated fats or GM ingredients. Accent also prides itself on freshly preparing all of its dishes using meat that meets UK welfare standards and eggs that are from cage free hens.
