Education catering contractors Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has gained top marks for its hygiene and food preparation at the Burley Gate C.E Primary School in Hereford.

Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) visited the school and scored it with the highest level possible, five out of five.

The 'Excellent' rating, commands 'very high standards of food safety management, fully compliant with food safety legislation' in accordance to the Food Safety Act 1990.

David Weller, managing director of AiP commented: "The next step in our commitment to the environment and schools we partner with is achieving the Bronze / Silver / Gold, Food for Life Catering Mark we are currently working towards with the Soil Association."

AiP, which supplies freshly prepared meals, onsite, to over 100 pupils and around 20 staff, won the three year £450,000 contract with the school in July.
