He came out ahead of fellow top-three nominees Billy Cunningham at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals Trust and Sewellyn Douglass-James at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove.
Among Andy's recent achievements, judges heard he had developed services for staff and visitors across all sites, launched the company manual called Cutting Edge and introduced a healthy eating programme called Taste of Health.
The Catering Team of the Year was Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. The Outstanding Service Award was given to Mike Pearson, Newcomer of the Year went to Robert McLaughlin at Ayrshire Central Hospital, while Alison McCree gave the Chairman's Award to the HCA's West of England Branch.
