There were five Aramark nominees in total who were up for the main catering award having completed their NVQs in Team Leading. The five were; Shelley Capp from BP Sunbury, Ola Sadiq from Marsh & McLennan Companies, and Kamila Pawlowska, Hasan Berisha, and Laurence McEvoy from the catering teams on the Thames Clippers high speed catamarans.
Maxine Room, principal of Lewisham College and Mark Cook from the Skills People Lewisham college congratulated Pawlowska on the win: "Kamila is a learner who used her training to find out as much as possible, really grasping the opportunity, and often asking for more information and advice from her assessor.
"She really shone, showing incredible pro-activity, presenting evidence and completing and submitting tasks in a timely manner and to a good standard."
Mark Faulkner, chief operating officer, Aramark, added: "It's great that we have such committed talent on our team and for not just one but five of our employees to be acknowledged by their peers in this way proves their considerable value to other members of the team and our customers in the months and years ahead. Congratulations on the impressive achievement."
