BB's Coffee & Muffins has beaten off its competition to come top in a poll of consumers' favourite coffee shops.
The Allegra Strategies' Project Café8 found that BB's scored high ratings for service quality, affordability and food choice ahead of Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Caffe Ritazza.
When asked to provide an average rating for the top three most visited coffee shops, respondents nominated BB's as best in class when it comes to food quality, versus the other major coffee shop operators:
Brand & Rating
BB's Coffee & Muffins - 3.87
Caffe Ritazza - 3.63
Coffee Republic - 3.62
Starbucks - 3.62
Caffe Nero - 3.55
Costa Coffee - 3.53
Michele Young, BB's Coffee and Muffins' Retail & Brands Director said: "With the recession taking hold, being seen as affordable is crucial and we have been reinforcing our value for money message with strong promotional meal deals and initiatives such as "sandwich for £1 when purchased with a regular coffee. We were particularly pleased that consumers scored us more highly for our coffee quality, atmosphere, service quality, food quality and food choice than last year."
