Since the introduction of its forecourt kiosk format into the UK in April, the company says there has been strong interest from fuel retail operators in the BB's brand and product offer.
The new BB's outlet in the Shell filling station, takes up just over 30 sq m and BB's will serve a selection of hot paninis, toasties and baguettes as well as its signature muffins, prepared by hand and freshly baked in the café each day.
The kiosk also integrates the New Zealand Natural ice cream, juice and smoothie offer. The café will be geared to sell a high volume of hot drinks and sandwiches to customers visiting the airport to pick up and drop off travellers as well as potential from 1500 local employees
"We've identified the forecourt sector as a key focus area for our business development based on proven successful trials, as we believe our brand is ideally suited to the fast-paced environment of the 'food-to-go' forecourt. We have a reputation for good quality products at value for money prices and for offering delicious fresh food prepared in the café," said Michele Young, BB's Retail & Brand Director.
"As a private business, we can be quick off our feet and flexible in how we work with our potential partners."
