BPEX launches recipe leaflet for chefs

BPEX has launched a recipe leaflet to help chefs deliver more 'profit from pork'.

Entitled 'Pork's ready when your customers are', the leaflet has been developed specifically to help chefs maximise their use of pork through effective 'mise en place'. With added emphasis on quality and sourcing pork which carries the Red Tractor logo, the leaflet's aim is to enable chefs to serve up excellent and innovative dishes without delay.

The five quality pork recipes included in the leaflet, which have been inspired by top development chef Nick Bates, come with full step-by-step methodology for preparation and service.

They make use of economical cuts of quality assured pork; from collar and cheeks to belly and shoulder, to deliver excellent profit opportunities for pubs and restaurants. The presence of the Red Tractor logo when using quality assured pork will also provide customers with added reassurances about animal welfare and food standards.

BPEX foodservice trade manager, Tony Goodger, said: "We know chefs choose pork for its versatility and ability to increase bottom-line profit. These recipe ideas are designed to help chefs prepare exciting pork dishes quickly and with consistent quality, thereby reducing customer waiting time and the possibility of wastage."
