There are regional titles to be won for North, Mid and South Wales as well as the national title.

Chefs must work or study in Wales to qualify for the competition, which will see them preparing an original three-course dinner for four within a three-hour time limit.

The final takes place on February 12th 2008.

Peter Jackson, WCA Chairman said: "This competition gives all chefs working or studying in Wales a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate their culinary skills at an event designed to showcase the best the country has to offer.
