The contract caterer, which now serves at 31 restaurants up and down the country, is serving fresh food to nearly 30,000 pupils.
Already, Cucina has started a herb garden at The Bushey Academy, showing Cucina's emphasis on fresh and locally sourced food and also helping the 590 students to understand the importance of food provenance.
Teachers, parents and pupils will all benefit from the fresh food that Cucina produces, as pupils and teachers can take food home after school.
Steve Quinn, managing director of Cucina, said: "We are delighted with how our new opening at The Bushey Academy has gone and are pleased that our fresh food approach continues to be so well received. We are keen to try new ideas, providing more opportunities for pupils to learn about food nutrition.
"Our chef's theatre allows pupils to see their food being made and gives them the chance to take part. We have seen sales as much as treble at our many new school contracts and it's nice to be enticing so many new customers and bucking the decline being seen nationally."
In addition, Cucina delivers fresh food to The Basildon Academy in Essex and The Harefield Academy in Middlesex.
