Elior has secured a five year catering deal worth £2.5m with the York Castle Museum.

The deal will see Elior provide fresh, healthy, regionally sourced meals to over 300,000 customers per year at the museum's Castle Café.

Raymond Santamaria, marketing manager, Elior UK Concessions, said: "The café is a brand new design and Elior has partnered with the York Museums Trust, an independent charity which manages some of the most important York attractions, to really invest in the Castle facility and create an inviting café."

Michael Woodward, commercial director, York Museums Trust added: "We were impressed with the passion and commitment of the Elior team. The team worked closely with us, and other contractors on the project, to create a café solution that really meets with the philosophy of the York Museums Trust.

"The Trust plays a major part in positioning York as a world class cultural centre. A quality dining experience at the Castle Museum plays a role in helping us achieve this by enhancing the visitor experience."
