Independent contract caterer Restaurants at Work has secured a two-year deal with the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.

The contract is worth £200,000 per year to the Epsom-based company and is the first won by the firm's new Midlands team which was launched in Leamington Spa late last year.

It will see the caterers run the Chamber's staff café and also provide hospitality meals and buffets for thousands of delegates using its conference rooms each year.

Mike Peachey, Birmingham Chamber corporate services director, said: "More than 200 Chamber employees and tenants will be able to take advantage of the variety of food available on the new menu, and we look forward to working with Restaurants at Work over the next few years."

Wyn Roberts, managing director of Restaurants at Work, added: "This is the first contract we have won in Birmingham city centre, and it is a major breakthrough for the company.

"Having previously been very much a southern based firm we have started to spread further north over the last 12 months and we have been really encouraged by the developments made by our Midlands team."
