As part of its ongoing development London based caterer Vacherin has strengthened its team with the appointment of Nigel Sibley as its first non-executive director.

Sibley has experience in the leisure, hospitality and gaming industries having held senior positions in companies such as Rank Group and Mitchells & Butlers.

He has managed and developed bars, restaurants, nightclubs, casinos and bingo. More recently he moved to Wolseley plc as UK managing director where in his tenure he transformed the service focus of the organisation and delivered significant growth.

Mark Philpott, owner-director of Vacherin along with Clive Hetherington and Phil Roker, said: "Nigel brings with him a huge knowledge of the hospitality industry and exciting ways of tackling those universal problems of setting service standards, operating over multiple sites and enthusing, energising and motivating teams of people. At Vacherin we are keen to harness his help to strengthen the governance of the company as we get ready for our next phase of development."
