25th January 2012, 3:31pm

The Catering Academy has recently promoted former catering manager Gary Irwin to the position of sales manager.

Having worked with Team Academy for over three years, Irwin began his Catering Academy career with the Health Protection Agency as their dedicated catering manager.

Founder director Kevin Cannon said: "Our team are the cornerstone of our success and we have ploughed a lot of time and resources into effective training and development.

"Increasing service demand has naturally allowed us to support promotion within the organisation and we are delighted that many of our long standing team members are now integrating into the senior management team.

"Our commitment has always been to develop and reward team members who demonstrate a desire for 'personally delivering excellence' throughout every area of their job role. Gary himself is a shining example of what sheer determination and hard work can achieve and I am sure he will prove ever successful in his new role."
