Catering Academy director crowned 'Business Person of the Year'

16th July 2010, 9:33am

Kevin Cannon, founder director of the Catering Academy, has been named 'Business Person of the Year' at the 2010 Warrington Business Awards.

Cannon commented on his achievement: "We have come from nothing to nearly £20 million in five years and in December we were named one of the fastest growing companies in the UK by Fast Track, a great honour for us. It's fantastic to receive such recognition for the work you put in, not only for myself but that of every Team Academy member."

Catering Academy also received a 'highly commended' award for Business of the Year. Cannon is one of three founding directors of the Catering Academy. Heading up the North West base meant Cannon was primarily responsible for the growth strategy of the company going forward.

The Warrington business Awards took place at a ceremony at the Park Royal Hotel in Stretton earlier this month.
