Lifespan Catering Services has promoted Rose Kelleway to customer support manager just as she approaches her 20th anniversary with the company.

Kelleway has risen through the ranks after joining the company almost 20 years ago as a part-time technician.

In her new role, Kelleway who lives in Teversham, Cambridgeshire will be supporting deputy catering operations manager Helen Dakin.

Kelleway first came on board with the company in 1991 and has seen the growth and volume of work "change dramatically" since she began her work weighing out and picking ingredients in her first role.

After taking on more hours, the former childminder took on a full time role as senior technician with additional responsibilities before embarking on a leadership development programme.

Kelleway found the course helped to build up her confidence, saying: "I am now really beginning to relish the challenges and excitement as well as the sheer hard work of the role.

"I do get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from the job and thoroughly enjoy it, particularly when I think about the end product. And if I can do it, anyone can!"
