As part of its most recent assessment, 45 members of the Catermasters workforce were privately interviewed by Investors in People assessor Martin Smith to gauge their opinions of the Catermasters business, while Catermasters was also required to submit information about its business strategy, training and benefits.
Investors in People commended Catermasters for a number of its strengths that were identified during the assessment. These included the strength of its business plan, the learning and development planned to achieve objectives, equality of opportunity, its managers leading and developing, the provision of effective learning and development, making staff feel valued and learning effectively and striving for continual improvement.
Smith said: "I would like to congratulate the organisation for the successful way in which it is continuing to develop the services it provides for clients in what is clearly a very challenging economic climate. The organisation has made considerable progress in the managing, development and support of its people and has stated aspiration to become one of the Times Top 100 companies to work for."
Investors in People is a nationally recognised standard that was launched in 1991 and helps organisations transform their business performance. The standard is regarded as the leading people management benchmark for business improvement.
