Catermasters celebrates fundraising success at charity golf day

30th July 2009, 10:48am

Catermasters, a supplier of contract catering solutions, raised £6,000 when it hosted a charity golf day in June.

The event took place at Warwickshire Golf Club in Warwick and the beneficiary was the Myton Hospice charity that has three residential care homes close to the Catermasters' headquarters in Leamington Spa.

Myton Hospice aims to provide specialist palliative care of the highest quality for adult patients with progressive life limiting illness.

Catermasters invited a mixture of clients, suppliers and employees to take part in the charity fundraiser and the 'fourball betterball' tournament was followed by a raffle, presentation and informal meal.

Nigel Johnson, joint managing director of Catermasters, said: "This is the second year we've supported Myton Hospice and I'm delighted that we managed to double our contribution from 2008. We all enjoyed some golf with our friends and colleagues, with the added bonus of some warm sunny weather, and raised money for a very worthwhile cause."
