The workplace catering specialist has handpicked six keen members of its team to become the first students to enroll at its brand-new Chefs Academy in Coventry.
The six students: Vikki Phillips, Stacey Fletcher, Lisa Sandy, Jules Perton, Luke Huck and Bickram Goburdhun have been selected to attend the Academy after showing a keen interest in food preparation and impressive potential in the kitchen. All six students are currently employed by Catermasters as general assistants.
Two of Catermasters' top chefs, Clive Jones and Pete Illingworth, will personally mentor the students and will run the training and development programme that the students will undertake when they all meet twice a month at the Catermasters Chefs Academy headquarters.
Catermasters Joint Managing director, Richard Moody, said: "The Catermasters Chefs Academy is about investing in the enthusiasm of our staff and giving them the best possible chance to fulfill their career goals in the kitchen.
"And I don't think there is any better way of doing that than establishing a formal environment and structure where they can learn new and vital kitchen skills from two of our most experienced and talented chefs."
