Catermasters launches healthy range for Olympic Games

23rd January 2012, 11:51am

Workplace catering specialist Catermasters has launched a range of healthy food products to coincide with this year’s Olympic Games.

The caterer is sponsoring 100-metre hurdler Sara McGreavy in her bid to secure a place in the Great Britain squad for this year's Olympic Games.

Foods in the Sara McGreavy 'Recommended' range include impulse bags, bakes, yoghurt pots, fruit pots, wholesome breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, hearty main courses, vegetarian main courses and healthy puddings.

Joint managing director Nigel Johnson said: "As an international athlete, Sara is very keen on nutrition and healthy eating.

"So this was a great opportunity to get her into the kitchen with our development chefs and work through some recipes.

"We're confident that this range will not only help customers to feel fit and healthy heading into the New Year but will also make them feel part of the excitement that surrounds our involvement in Sara's London 2012 bid."

McGreavy said: "I'm not a professional chef but I have a passion for healthy food and it's been great to exchange and develop ideas with the guys at Catermasters. I think the new menu we've come up with has something for everyone and I think customers will like it and feel the benefit heading into 2012."
