Tim Jones: On the trail of flagship sites
Chairman Tim Jones says: "We will be looking to add one or two venues this year. We don't want to rush things. We're looking for top venues that can become flagship sites for this side of the business.
"Once we've set the standard, we'll be looking for steady, organic growth of about three additional contracts a year.
"The market is crying out for new, quality operators within the public catering sector, and we are in a strong position to take advantage of the many opportunities available by targeting new prospects, such as museums, art galleries and other cultural, historical and heritage sites."
He was addressing clients and guests at the official launch of Charlton House Restaurants at the Naval & Military Club in St. James's Square, London.
The division was actually formed last year and is headed by Nigel Hutson, the former head of Elior's visitor attraction business Digby Trout Restaurants. He is now divisional managing director.
Hutson added: "Our goal for Charlton House Restaurants is to become the new benchmark for the public catering sector."
