Charlton House wins Allianz deal

2nd October 2008, 10:48am

Charlton House has won a contract with Allianz Insurance to provide catering services at sites in Ladymead, Guildford and Leadenhall Street, London.

The deal, worth over £800,000 in annual turnover, will see Charlton House staff manage a full restaurant, deli bar, coffee shop and hospitality for 900 Allianz staff on site in Guildford.

Leadenhall Street is mainly a fine dining and hospitality service, along with a staff restaurant service for the 300 Allianz staff based there.

Alison Tyler, Charlton House joint managing director, commented on the win: "Many of our staff now have ISO 14001 certification, with more on target to achieve the same in the coming months. Other catering organisations are satisfied to gain ISO14001 certification solely for their head office site but we feel that our environmental responsibility goes much further than that."

"We want to integrate it into our overall business operations so that each of our 150 sites takes responsibility for reducing the impact it has on the environment."

Charlton House has a current annual turnover of £80 million and employs almost 2,000 people nationwide.
