Contract Caterer Compass Group wins Champions Award

Compass Group UK and Ireland has received a Champions Award as part of The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre's (SECC) 25th anniversary celebrations.

Since the SECC opened its doors over 25 years ago, Compass has offered catering options for thousands of corporate functions, international conferences, public exhibitions and concerts.

John Sharkey, chief executive officer of SECC, commented: "Food is a big part of the visitor experience and Compass has been integral to the success of the SECC by catering for the thousands of visitors to the venue. 

"Over the past 25 years Compass has worked in partnership with the SECC providing quality food services across all areas of the business from  conferences to major events and exhibitions and is very much part of the SECC's achievements to date."

Compass' business director of sport and arenas, Andy Hardy, added: "I am really proud to receive this award on behalf of Compass and our dedicated team both past and present. 

"We have worked with the SECC since the beginning and look forward to continuing our long standing working relationship with them, making sure visitors to the venue, whether there for a concert, conference or exhibition, enjoy a range of quality catering options into 2011 and beyond."
