With a 98% client retention rate, a 2006 staff survey showing 69% were "very happy" and business attracted at a steady rate with nine new accounts in 2006 and four more so far this year, niche contractor bartlett mitchell is proving business and pleasure can mix. Started in 1999 by Ian Mitchell and Wendy Bartlett, the company now has more than 50 contracts and over 300 staff and boasts a portfolio of clients in London and the south east that includes city banks, pharmaceuticals, private schools and Government support bodies. As well as a very sympathetic approach to staff welfare and development and bold, imaginative marketing materials, bartlett mitchell created a strong point of difference with the board-level appointment of David James as creative director.
