Contract caterer Catermasters raises £5,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust

Catermasters, a supplier of contract catering solutions, celebrated its 20th birthday last weekend by hosting a fundraising gala dinner that raised £5,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

To officially mark its birthday, Catermasters invited 100 of its clients and suppliers to Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire to enjoy a gala dinner and take part in a charity auction that would benefit Teenage Cancer Trust – Catermasters' nominated charity for 2010.

A skilled Catermasters brigade headed up by Ryan Holmes, head chef at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Oxfordshire, prepared the three-course dinner that was served in the dining room of the 19th century mansion house.

Joint managing director Richard Moody said: "The last 20 years have been unforgettable and incredibly rewarding for Nigel and I so we wanted to celebrate our birthday by hosting an equally memorable gala dinner that would reward a truly excellent charity.
 
"We extend our sincere thanks to everyone that played a part in making the gala dinner such a success and also to everyone that gave so generously on the night. We have set ourselves a target of raising £50,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust during the next 12 months and enjoyable activities like the gala dinner are at the heart of that effort."
 
Richard Shaw, Teenage Cancer Trust director of fundraising, added: "The Catermasters gala dinner was a great evening. I am delighted with the support and effort Catermasters has shown to Teenage Cancer Trust."

Nigel Johnson is also the managing director of the company.
