The sarnie is currently being introduced to 1,500 of Compass' Origin Café locations around the country, including workplaces, hospitals, colleges and defence sites.
Adam O'Connor, category manager of Sandwich & Deli, Compass Group UK & Ireland, commented: "Grab-and-go foods are increasingly popular for time-poor employees in the workplace and the sandwich represents the ultimate in convenience and choice.

British Sandwich Week runs from 9-15th May.
