Contract caterer Elior introduces the SMART Coffee Car

When visitor numbers at the Science Museum and the demand for on-site refreshments increased rapidly, the heritage division of Elior UK, the contracted catering provider, responded with a new fitting solution – the SMART Coffee Car.

The SMART Coffee Car is a complete fully-functional refreshment unit, totally self contained within a SMART car. Customers can enjoy fresh made-to-order barista coffee, hot and cold beverages and snacks, served directly from the 'boot' of the car.

Adam Elliott, managing director of concessions, Elior UK commented: "The simple solution would have been to introduce a standard mobile kiosk to meet the growing demand for refreshments, but we knew that this was not enough. 

"The Science Museum is an inspirational place so we wanted to reflect the inspiration and innovation in our catering solution and create something different to generate excitement and interest amongst the venue's visitors, as well as offering them top-quality refreshments."
