The company was assessed and praised for "demonstrating a strong commitment and determination to improve the performance of bartlett mitchell through trained and developed managers", according to IIP Assessor, Richard Lacey.
The assessment covered 10 key business areas ranging from business strategy and learning/development plans to team involvement, assessment, effectiveness and improvement.
June Harvey, HR director for bartlett mitchell, commented: "We take a lot of time to make sure that our people strategy is closely aligned to what the business needs to achieve, and we involve our team in the process. It's so important to take people with you on the 'business journey' and judging by the feedback from IIP, our team feels very involved.
"We also believe strongly in having a learning culture where all parties share ownership for personal development - everybody wants the opportunity to be developed to the best of their abilities and our culture encourages this."
Wendy Bartlett, managing director, said: "Passing Investors in People with flying colours has been a wonderful start to our tenth anniversary celebrations. As a company we've always been quality focussed and have successfully held Hospitality Assured for several years but having also invested heavily in our team and HR resources, we felt it was time to attain IIP. It really underpins our achievements and illustrates that our people are what makes bartlett mitchell a great place to work."
