Webb's aim is to further develop the innovative partnerships Convert2Green are now known for in using waste cooking oil from the food industry to drive transport, heat and power systems.
Webb will also liaise with key groups, such as the Carbon Trust and Sustainable Restaurant Association, in Convert2Green's capacity as a preferred supplier.
Convert2Green collects and recycles waste vegetable oil from across the food industry to produce a range of quality bio-fuels for use in commercial vehicle fleets and to drive heat and power systems. They are one of the top five bio-fuel producers in the UK.
Taking up the Cheshire based post, Webb said: "I am obviously delighted to be joining Convert2Green, a company whose innovative waste to energy strategy is making a real contribution to reducing carbon emissions in the UK.
"Convert2Green work in partnership with key clients in the food and hospitality industry, including 3663, Nando's, Robinsons Family Brewers, Cygnet Foods, to reduce their carbon emissions and cut costs. Increasingly, they are also working with major organisations in the public sector, such as H M Prison service to achieve the same goal."
