2nd September 2008, 11:49am

Indian cookery school, Cooking with Monisha, is teaming up with British Food Fortnight this month to highlight how the best of British produce can be used in Indian cooking.

The South Indian Cookery class, taking place on the 20 September from 3-6pm at Hounslow West, London, will be showcasing Indian spices with seasonal British produce.

Beginning with a market experience, Monisha, who has worked in top establishments including London's Bombay Brasserie, will take the group to the local shops to look at ingredients and how to choose the freshest ones for a healthy meal.

Visitors will then begin their hands on cooking at the Cooking with Monisha kitchen where the group will eat what they have created.

Other courses taught at the school include Indian Diabetic, Healthy lunchboxes, After Indian in Minutes, Skill Enhancer for Chefs, and Indian Breads.
