8th February 2010, 11:55am

Mövenpick Ice Cream experienced a 16% year-on-year sales uplift during the Christmas 2009 period.

Mike Godwin, managing director, Mövenpick Ice Cream, said: "Creating menu concepts that work for our customers has been the driving force of the business to date.  And with ice-cream such as the double award winning Mövenpick VSOP Cognac, the Winter season was bound to be a success.

"With sales over Christmas proving incredibly positive we look forward to an 'ice-cream summer'!  And with a couple of exquisite new products coming in the next couple of months we look to continue to deliver best-in class products and service. "

Mövenpick ice-cream and sorbets are available through leading frozen food wholesalers nationwide.
