Delights coming up at Speciality

The Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2008 is expected to have over 700 producers sampling their products along with 100 first time exhibitors and 80 small producers at the Olympia Exhibition Centre from 7-9 September.

Here are some of the delights the event will be offering:

 

Keys of Lincolnshire – A family run farm that specialises in growing, preparing and supplying a variety of fruit and vegetables, will be launching a new product – The Pink Onion.

 

The Cornish Sea Salt Co – Will be the first British company to produce a sea salt in close proximity to the ocean. It will be the second British Sea Salt to be launched in 125 years.

 

Flavours of SpainSpecialising in artisan foods from Northern Spain, sourcing their products from small, family run producers. They will be launching a range of seaweeds at the event. Flavours of Spain offer more than 10 varieties including Nori, Wakame, Dulse, Agar Agar, Kombu and Sea Lettuce.

 

Odysea – selling cured loose Organic Kalamata Olives. This is one of only a handle of Greek groves to use traditional methods of hand selection to harvest their olives which are produced without the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.

 

Golden Oils Ltd – Offering a range of nut and seed oil blends suitable for garnishing salads and hot dishes.

 

The Amazing Food Company – Launching Dulcet Cuisine's range of gourmet and all-natural marinades, sauces, mustards, ribs and spices into the UK market. These products are all natural, vegetarian and wheat and gluten free.

 

Passion Shed – Will be exhibiting its new range of sweet and savoury snacks by culinary capitals such as Spain, Italy, Morocco and Switzerland.

Founders Brian Cardy and Sarah James, Lily Barlow and Richard Millington created five flavours using extra virgin olive oil, Modena balsamic vinegars, nuts and Swiss chocolate.

 

Thursday Cottage – Launching a new range of organic English preserves and marmalades featuring seasonal fruit such as Damson, Greengage and Quince.

 

Mondo Berry Ltd – The first company in the UK to produce Sea Buckthorn and Aronia berry jams. These have been widely used for food and medicinal purposes in Scandinavia, Russia and China for centuries.

 

Quai Sud – Introducing a new product 'Organic Blueberry Hibiscus Sugar' made using non-refined sugar from Brazil. This product brightens up yoghurts, pastries, pancakes, fruit salads and herbal teas.

 

Pudding Lane – Launching its new Chocolate and Orange Log and Chocolate Rum and Raisin Pudding Log.

 

Emeyu – Offering a variety of tea accessories including contemporary teapots with built in filters which are easily cleaned and blend into the styling of most interiors. The company is also available to offer training, tea menu designs and point of sale display.

 

Sympathy Teas – Unveiling a new tea as a result of a competition being held within their tasting club. The challenge for members is to come up with a new blend. Members are currently in the process of submitting their ideas before voting takes place and the top three are chosen for tasting. The winning tea will be available to sample and purchase at the show.

 

Chegworth Valley Juices – Will be sampling its new organic produce featuring Pear juice and Bramley, Cox and Discovery apple juices and its latest product – Apple & Beetroot juice. All of these juices contain no added sugars, sweeteners, concentrates, artificial colourings, flavourings and preservatives.

 

BlueConcept Ltd – Launching 'Wild Blueberries 100%' – made from 100% wild Swedish blueberries pressed in a juice.

 

RDA Organic – Sampling its range of 'fresh functional superfruit' drinks. The fruits are high in antioxidants and polyphenols. The flavours in the range are fresh acai berry and blackcurrant and fresh pomegranate and blueberry. These drinks also contain a special variety of organic apple.

 

HipLife – Sampling its new range of three sauces – HipLife Hot Sauce, HipLife Mild Sauce and HipLife Pepperless Sauce.

 

Jules and Sharpie – Offering two new products – hot fruit salad jam and hot rhubarb and ginger jam, both made using hot scotch bonnet chilli.
