Domino's takes on Subway with a new lunchtime menu

21st July 2010, 3:46pm

Recession-winner Domino's is extending its offering beyond pizzas with the launch of six new oven-baked sub sandwiches.

Priced at £3.49 each, the ciabatta subs aim to rival popular lunchtime retailers such as Subway and Costa Coffee.

The range features:

Cheese Steak Melt - cheese and herb sauce, steak, onions and mozzarella

Breakfast Sub - Domino's breakfast sauce, mozzarella, onions, smoky bacon, smoky sausage and mushrooms

Meatball Sub - Domino's vine-ripened tomato sauce, meatballs, onions and mozzarella

Vegi Supreme - Domino's vine-ripened pizza sauce, mushrooms, onions, sweetcorn, tomatoes, green peppers and mozzarella

New Yorker - cheese and herb sauce, sausage, onion, smoky bacon, mozzarella and American style mustard

Nuclear Sub - cheese and herb sauce, mozzarella, Tandoori chicken, onions and jalapenos

In a statement Domino's said: "These delicious new subs feature a range of Domino's top pizza toppings, plus a host of new filling choices, in a freshly baked ciabatta. Each sub is made to order in-store using fresh ingredients and provides the perfect lunchtime alternative."
