ESS donates £5000 to Combat Stress

27th February 2008, 12:01pm

ESS, part of Compass Group and provider of specialist support services to Britain’s defence forces, has donated £5000 to Combat Stress, the ex-services mental welfare society.

Combat Stress has been the only services charity in 80 years to specialise in helping those of all ranks from the Armed Forces and the Merchant Navy who suffer from psychological disability.

ESS is committed to support the welfare of current and ex-service men and women.

Robert Marsh, fundraising director for Combat Stress, commented on the donation: "This money and the strong signal of support that comes with it will help us to provide vital treatment and care to those ex-service men who need our help, many of whom have had their lives absolutely shattered by psychological injury."
