East Coast train operators have launched a full English breakfast made with British Lion egg products as part of a new move to encourage customers to travel first class.

The full English, which includes scrambled egg, will be given exclusively to passengers travelling first class as part of East Coast's 'Welcome Onboard' package.

East Coast onboard business support manager Stuart Anderson said: "The complimentary full English breakfast is just one example of the improvements we've made to our First Class service. We are delighted to be offering our customers the benefits of Lion eggs, which symbolise top quality British ingredients, and are also produced to superior food safety and hygiene standards."

Ian Jones, vice chairman of the British Lion Egg Processors, added: "We're delighted that East Coast has chosen to specify Lion egg products for its full English breakfast. By specifying Lion egg products, East Coast customers can rest assure their scrambled eggs are made with top quality, British ingredients."
