Elior appoints new education sales director

Elior UK has announced a key appointment within the Avenance Contracts division which will strengthen and support the existing team as part of the broader business growth strategy.

Robert Salmon has been appointed as Avenance education sales director with immediate effect. Salmon has over 30 years of experience in the contract catering industry and was previously the director of education services at Aramark.  He has held similar education-focused senior roles at Compass and Sodexo.

Salmon will now report to Jan Matthews who joined Elior as regional managing director for Avenance's Southern region and education division in Summer 2008. Commenting on the appointment Matthews said: "We are pleased to welcome such a high calibre individual as Robert to further strengthen our Education team within the Avenance Contracts division.

"This appointment highlights the ability of the business to attract dynamic, results driven individuals.  Robert's wealth of experience and sales expertise will ensure that he plays a pivotal role in our continued growth."

With an annual turnover of over £280m, Elior UK owns and operates leading contracts, concession catering and FM services in the UK and employs 12,500 people.
