Stewart Smallwood, regional director of Elior, will be joining other big industry names to take on the challenge, which takes place from 25 March to 3 April.
All proceeds will be going to Springboard, which helps young, unemployed and disadvantaged people to find rewarding careers in the hospitality, leisure and tourism sector.
The charity evening is being held at Lloyd's of London on 9 February and will include a champagne reception, a four course culinary feast prepared by top chefs including Anton Edelman, Giorgio Locatelli, Mark Hicks and William Curley and a wine list chosen by renowned sommelier Gerard Basset.
A spokesperson for Elior said: "We want to try and make a difference and hope we can count on you to help us. We have already kick started our fundraising efforts with a significant company donation and will be delighted if you and your colleagues would join us at our event at Lloyd's of London."
Tickets are priced at £100 per head. To confirm a place guests must email jas.banwait@avenance.co.uk or nicky.bland@avenance.co.uk.
Each person taking part in the China trek is challenged to raise a staggering £7,000 each. They will each walk around 12km every day.
In addition, Elior also has a Virgin Money Giving website set up where people can donate as much as they want. Please visit http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/StewartSmallwood
