Enodis gives BBC2 a ‘Recipe for Success’

28th February 2008, 12:36pm

Enodis UK has announced that it has supplied BBC2’s ‘Recipe for Success’ with kitchen equipment after the producers of the programme met the equipment provider at Hospitality in 2006 at the NEC in Birmingham.

The programme will air in March this year and sees couples compete by running a restaurant for one day.

The team that makes the most money on their day will keep the whole week's profits and be crowned the week's winners.

Installed by Enodis dealer Aggora, the TV kitchen included a Delfield upright refrigerator, freezer and refrigerated preparation counter, a Convotherm mini 6.06 combination oven, a Moorwood Vulcan six-burner range, and a Garland induction griddle.

Ian Osborne, Managing Director of Enodis UK Food Service explains more: "Recipe for Success transforms pairs of amateur cooks and restaurateurs into the head chef and front-of-house manager of a working restaurant. Teams will be required to devise and serve their own menu as well as run the restaurant for a day, so it seems appropriate that as one of the world's largest catering equipment manufacturers, Enodis would fit the kitchen."

The show will air on Monday 3rd March at 17:15pm, taking the early prime spot on BBC2. Recipe for Success will run Monday to Friday for four weeks.
