Ethnic Food manufacturer finds new home

14th June 2010, 11:37am

The Ethnic food manufacturer Spice Time is moving its team into larger premises this year as part of its ambitious plan to become the UK's largest foodservice manufacturer.

The Birmingham-based company, which is certified by the Halal Food Authority, has been manufacturing and supplying handmade meat and vegetarian meals and snacks from its existing site in Fulham Road for over eleven years. During this time the manufacturer has supplied to foodservice outlets, which include The Hilton Hotel.

The manufacturer will move into its new home – a purpose built 9, 000 sq ft factory based in Birmingham's Highgate - this autumn.

The new facility features larger refrigeration facilities and blast freezers, which are designed to retain the nutrients and freshness in frozen food. Extra offices on site will assist the management, Halal butchery and bespoke pastry chef production teams in new product development.
