FAROE WRAPS UP SALMON STEAK SECTOR

2nd October 2007, 10:12am

Faroe Seafood has launched steaks of wild Pacific salmon after a hugely successful test market through a leading frozen food wholesaler.

Caught under environmentally friendly Marine Stewardship Council regulations, the salmon are cut into steaks of around 190g giving 16 portions per three-kilo pack.

The steaks are presented skin on, making them ideal for barbecues as well as for traditional methods of preparation and, for kitchen convenience, each portion is individually wrapped.

Prices are promised to be extremely competitive.
