The reasons behind the restaurant's closure have remained a mystery but many national newspapers have commended Blumenthal's quick response and cooperation with the Health Protection Agency.
Yesterday, we reported that the Fat Duck had been given the all clear to reopen but the investigation into the various customer's experiences would continue.
The restaurant's lunch and dinner service will today serve 80 covers.
Blumenthal confirmed the reopening: "I am delighted the Health Protection Agency and the local environmental health office have given us the all-clear to open the restaurant.
"Whilst they are still awaiting outstanding test results we cannot comment further, but obviously we are overjoyed to be able to get back to business as normal."
In a statement the Health Protection Agency said: "The Agency and local environmental health officers from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead consider it safe to reopen as the Fat Duck management has agreed to comply with all the recommendations made after a thorough risk assessment was carried out by the HPA's Thames Valley Health Protection Unit and the environmental health team."
The spokesperson added that no single source of the outbreak had been identified.
