Gatwick airport gets new arrivals

6th March 2009, 11:13am

Passengers departing from Gatwick Airport will be able to experience new food offerings arriving at the north terminal in the summer.

By the time the summer arrives, Caffè Nero will be opening along with a new restaurant concept called Armadillo.

Food on offer at Armadillo has South American influences such as buttermilk pancakes, jambalaya, Santa Fe cobb salad, tequila mojito and fresh juices.

Also arriving during the summer months is an offer from Delaware North companies. This is brand new to UK airports and boasts hot food choices all day with a strong emphasis on grab and go options.

The existing Garfunkel's and Costa Coffee at Gatwick's North Terminal will both be extended before the summer's out.

Costa Coffee is opening a new unit in May and Café Rouge, new to the Terminal, is arriving early Summer and the existing Caffè Nero has also had a major refurbishment too.

Mike Luddy, commercial director at Gatwick says: "We are delighted that our passengers will be able to experience the brand new food concepts. It's an exciting time to be travelling through Gatwick!"
