ORGANICALLY APPROVED
Geo Organics' Atlantic Sea Salt is the only organically approved sea salt in Europe. Its pure white salt crystals are just as nature intended with their irregular shape untouched by processing. Their natural mineral content including the essential minerals of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium remains intact and in perfect balance. Apart from the health benefit of these minerals, they give the salt an almost sweet flavour.
HARVESTING
Geo Organics' Atlantic Sea Salt is harvested from Roman salt ponds in the Algarve where just the top layer of salt crystals is raked by hand and left to dry in the sun. As no sediment, clay or sand are taken, the crystals are pure white. These unprocessed crystals are available in their natural shape in the Geo Organics' Atlantic Sea Salt box. They are ideal for sprinkling on salads, roasted vegetables and in a salt grinder.
AVOID THE GRIND
For people who prefer not to grind salt and for those occasions when a finer salt is needed, Geo Organics Atlantic Sea Salt Shaker is the perfect solution. This is from the self-same, pure crystals which are mildly dried to remove excess moisture before being ground to finer crystals. The drying is precise to ensure the temperature doesn't rise to the point where the magnesium, potassium and calcium flavour are lost (as can happen in traditional salt production). No anti-caking agent is added - which is why you need to shake the salt a little to start it flowing.
ORGANICALLY APPROVED
The Organic Farmers and Growers Association accredits the nature reserve where the salt is gathered. The salt ponds sustain a natural habitat that is home to much wildlife and vegetation. There are more birds and waders to be seen than people as the salt forms!
