Graysons Restaurants report success after netting new clients

Graysons Restaurants has described the first six months of 2010 as a “very active period” for its team after acquiring key new business.

The restaurant group, which is reported to have an annual turnover of £20 million and operates in over 100 locations throughout the UK, began trading in January 2008.

It added nine new clients worth a turnover of "just close to £5 million" to its portfolio across the independent education sectors. They include the award winning law firm, TLT Solicitors who moved into new offices in the city of London, Commonwealth Bank of Australia in the city, MRM and Lowe, both part of the IPG Group in London, Telehouse in London's Docklands and Workspace in Croydon.

Two further clients are set to open shortly including Vertu, the creator of luxury mobile phones based in Church Crookham, Hampshire, and Invista in the city of London.

Also for the company, Kingston Grammar School has appointed Graysons Education, part of Graysons Restaurants, to commence in September adding to the growing number of independent schools placing their confidence in Graysons Education team headed by Mike Bond.

The new business has been won through a combination of new premises and competitors including BaxterStorey, Avenance, Restaurant Associates and Chartwells.

Chief executive for Graysons Restaurants, Rowena Edwards, said: "Our continued success is a great credit to the team and I am absolutely thrilled to see this positive growth in our chosen market sectors.

"There is no doubt that Graysons have something new to offer and we remain confident that our focus on fresh food and transparent accounting is a key factor for many clients."
