Healthier eating video podcasts for schools

18th February 2008, 12:39pm

The British Nutrition Foundation has released episode one of their new healthier eating video podcasts for schools.

This new free resource has been developed in response to teacher feedback and advice.

The first episode introduces pupils to the Eatwell Plate at www.eatwell.gov.uk/healthydiet/eatwellplate  and then goes on to explain the fruit and vegetables food group.

The videos focus on different groups as well as exploring other important aspects of nutrition including allergy, energy balance, salt and breakfast. Each video lasts for 10 minutes.
