Hundreds of guests from the hospitality industry were welcomed to the Nine Kings Suite for the annual Hospitality Action Sparkle Ball, which raised an impressive £80,000.

The awards ceremony commended industry figures for their support and dedication to Hospitality Action. In total, four awards were given to those who had gone the extra mile to raise vital funds.

Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action said: "The Hospitality Ball is one of our most popular events and it's easy to see why. We're overjoyed that even in these difficult times, so many people have come out to support those in need."

The Ambassador award was won by Richard Ball of Calcot Manor, for his "outstanding personal commitment to the charity".

The President's award was taken home by Malmaison/Hotel du Vin for its "consistent support over the past twelve months".

The Ark Foundation award for Corporate Social Responsibility was won by Soho House Group. This award recognises a company who has shown a proactive approach to the dangers of alcohol and substance abuse in today's society.

HA's Heroes award was won by Dave Mansbridge of Living Ventures, who tirelessly raised funds for the charity whilst also committing his time and energy to make him a truly invaluable member of the North West Regional Board.

Fantastic prizes were on offer throughout the evening, including a full day of pampering, dining and personalised shopping at Harvey Nichols, London - courtesy of Unilever Foodsolutions and full hospitality tickets to the 2010 Open Golf Championship at St Andrews, Scotland – donated by Sodexo.
