Hospitality Action donations to come through hotel bookings

12th July 2010, 3:26pm

Hospitality Action has joined forces with TravelRelief, a new hotel booking system that donates at least 8% of the booking price to the charity.

All reservations made through the scheme, whether for business or pleasure, will benefit past and present hospitality workers facing hardship.

Run in partnership with Hotels.com and Expedia.com, TravelRelief offers a choice of over 50,000 hotels worldwide at great internet rates, simply visit http://travelrelief.org/hospitality-action/

Hospitality Action CEO, Penny Moore, said: "Hotels are a large proportion of the hospitality industry so what better way to show your support than by thinking of Hospitality Action when booking your next break. Whether reserving a hotel room for business or pleasure every hotel booked will make a difference and with such great rates available it's worth adding it to your favourites and urging friends and family to use it too."

Hospitality Action offers a range of services to past and present employees within the hospitality industry. These services include financial aid and support and a family member's scheme for retired industry members. All funds raised through the programme will offer a lifeline to those who find they have fallen on hard times.
