Hospitality recruitment company Berkeley Scott moves offices

Hospitality and catering recruitment company, Berkeley Scott has moved offices from Charlotte Street in London in order for the business to grow.

The office, now based on Mortimer Street in London's west end, is home to the permanent recruitment division of Berkeley Scott.

Berkley Scott will be running the Academy of Food and Wine practical banqueting training on site along with food and hygiene, COSHH and manual handling testing.  Furthermore, with the Olympic Games less than 12 months away and numerous contracts in the pipeline, the future of the industry is looking strong, the company said.

Mike Gardner, operations manager of the London temporary office, said: "Our strategy over the last couple of years has been based around a central idea of constantly evolving the service we offer and most importantly the quality of the staff we send out.

"We have overhauled our recruitment processes, redesigned our inductions and introduced various types of training and development for our staff; we have proven we are not run of the mill and offer something different."

Managing director Mark Darby commented: "We have won several new major clients this year and our market share is growing.  At a time when the market is also growing, our increased workload has necessitated a 50% increase in headcount.   The new office will improve the first impression for staff coming to register and house better facilities to recruit, induct and train our staff."
